University of Michigan Celebrates Exceptional Student Writing with Annual Prizes

Sweetland Center for Writing and the English Department's Writing Program are proud to honor exceptional student writing with annual prizes. We celebrate achievements in two categories:

  1. First-Year Writing Prizes: The Feinberg Family Prize and Matt Kelley Prize recognize outstanding writing from first-year students. These prestigious awards highlight the best analytical, narrative, and research-based arguments produced throughout the winter term. Faculty members select submissions for consideration.
