Will Ardeny is an experienced educator with a passion for unlocking students' potential in writing. His journey began at Hamilton College where he supported student writers to enhance their confidence and skills for indepent academic success.
As part of his role as a First-Year Experience Mentor within the Hamilton History Department, Will facilitated workshops on writing and time management tlored specifically for incoming freshmen. He graduated with outstanding achievementsearning the highest GPA among American History students and in Hamilton's history concentration, along with prestigious awards including the Cunningham Essay Prize for his honors thesis focused on Abraham Lincoln.
Upon graduation magna cum laude with honors distinctions, he continued to contribute as a key collaborator in crafting comprehensive thesis-writing guides. Additionally, he co-authored Hamilton College’s “Writing Longer Papers” guide and authored an extensive guide titled Darien's Golden Age of Arts Design for the Darien Historical Society.
As a writing tutor, college application counselor, and expert essay writer, Will excels in pinpointing areas of difficulty in student writing. His teaching style is characterized by cheerfulness, encouragement, patience, and a collaborative approach that optimizes students' college admissions chances while nurturing their long-term writing growth. In his role as a Writing Specialist at the University of Chicago’s ities Core, he conducts seminars that cover every aspect of the from research to revision. Additionally, as an instructor for Academic Professional Writing courses, Will imparts vital skills necessary for undergraduate students to write a B.A. thesis, apply to graduate school, and professional programs.
